About Me

Libo Huang is a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor (Assistant Researcher) at the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He can solely advise Ph.D. and master's students in Computer Science. Prior to joining the faculty, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher (2021.10 - 2024.8) and an intern researcher (2021.7-2021.10) at ICT, CAS, where he collaborated with Prof. Yongjun Xu and Prof. Zhulin An on deep learning research.

He received his Ph.D. degree in Machine Learning under the joint supervision of Prof. Wing-Kuen Ling at Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT) (2018-2021) and Prof. Lu Gan at Brunel University of London (2019-2020). Before that, he earned his M.Eng. degree in Computer Science from GDUT (2016-2018), supervised by Prof. Zhifeng Hao and Prof. Ruichu Cai.

His research focuses on the intersection of machine learning and neuroscience. Specifically, his work spans:
